These are all websites that I’ve either built, edited, or maintained. A mix of front-end development and digital design work, I’ve created content for all of them and some have even utilized my skillset to rebrand entirely. There is a mix of WordPress and Drupal framework and some legacy sites have required full transitions for more modern web solutions.
Hardcoat Inc.
I took over hardcoatinc.com almost a few years ago. It’s a pretty standard WordPress website. I did some re-formatting and now I’m satisfied with layout. Most of my work on this site these days has been standard text, image, link, and documentation updates. Plenty of image manipulation and SEO practices also go into it.
Bio-Techne
I made various updates on the Bio-Techne website, including; Hero image updates, link updates, module updates, and re-formatting and text updates. The original Bio-Techne site went under a massive overhaul during the time I was there. They updated to Drupal 8 from the standard legacy framework and also went under a huge creative standard overhaul as well.
R&D Systems
I made similar updates to the RnD Systems website as to the updates I made on the Bio-Techne website. A lot of these updates were graphic design asks for the home site modules that I had created myself. These could link from anything to brochure landing pages I had built for brochures I had created to modules directing to pathway updates that I had to import and export XML from that was edited in both Dreamweaver and InDesign in a very complicated back-end process.
Protein Simple
I didn’t do as much work on Protein Simple’s website as I did for the RnD Systems site or the Bio-techne site. They did, however fall under the same umbrella of brands. Most of the work I did on the Protein Simple site was Graphic Design work on updating modules on the home page and subsequent landing pages. I did a lot of manual Photoshop tracing and image manipulation on their instruments as well as create banner ads and ad runners. Sidenote, their SEO must be working very well as I’ve been getting a lot of Protein Simple ads lately after searching their site to ad the button link.
Novus
Novus Biologicals doesn’t get as much traction as the other Bio-Techne brand sites. It is yet another legacy site that required extensive rework in order to make it into Drupal 8 framework on the backend as well as front end. Most of the work I did for the Novus site included updating and maintaining the brochures featured on the site as well as maintaining the brochure catalog digitally on the site as well.
Tocris
Tocris is another legacy site under the Bio-Techne portfolio of brands. Most of the work I did on this website was header banner designs and home page module designs. Most of these involved image manipulation and stylization of products and molecules.
Good Karma Skincare
I worked with Good Karma Skincare while I was working for We Spark Growth. I mostly worked with their owner Cynthia who also rented office space at Workaround, which was the coworking space where I ran the front desk. Cynthia managed the E-commerce side of Good Karma and I updated the WordPress side of their site. I updated text, links, and imagery. I worked closely with them to create hero images, banners and general imagery throughout their website, while also creating packaging and artwork for their products as well.
The Christine Center
I worked with The Christine Center while I was working for We Spark Growth. I mostly worked with Julie Meadows, she provided clear and concise direction on updates for her site. These updates were primarily digital design creation for specific banners and static modules although I also updated links, text and headers.
QC Dance
QC Dance is another client that I worked with when working for We Spark Growth. QC Dance received the full works. They got everything from wire-framing and laying out the site, theme selection, and digital content creation and design work for the site. I even did an entire rebrand for the and I’m happy to see the logo I created still stands proudly in the main menu and the brand standards I developed for them hold true throughout their site.
NAWBO MN
NAWBO is the National Association of Women Business Owners. I did fairly basic link and imagery updates on their site while I was working for We Spark Growth. I would promote various events and update the site accordingly with design content I had created to support these events. Text and links would be updated as well.
Advicoach
Advicoach is a Business Coaching company that Buffie Blesi worked for. She was the founder of We Spark Growth and I updated this site regularly for events she was hosting and other various coaching events. I supported this website with graphics as well as normal front-end development. Unfortunately We Spark Growth shut it’s doors back in 2014 or I would be able to show more work from that site and everything that it was connected to as well.
